Weekly Check-In #16

weekly-review-16-2021

This week I was able to tick off a few tasks. I am surprised at how short a week can feel, especially in the current time. And still, although I can feel my progress on a day-to-day basis I’m still struggling to see a clear direction on a macro level (f.i., in terms of my career aspirations and plans).

What was I working on this week?

  • Working on my d-project.
  • Editing one video.
  • Enjoying the sun.

What are 3 things that brought me joy and energy this week?

  • Feeling tired (in a good way!) after having worked out on Friday.
  • Picking up my wedding top and getting help from a good friend of mine.
  • Enjoying the sun in our garden.

My 80/20 analysis:

  • Accepting that change happens (yes, it’s a good thing).
  • Taking action by accomplishing small steps.
  • Understanding that me feeling bad in a certain moment does not mean that the thing I’m doing is bad.

What do I plan to tackle next week?

  • Focus on the last planning steps of our wedding.

Anything else?

  • I want to make a conscious effort to plan my life better ahead.
  • I might be relying on wishful thinking here, but I think I’ve seen some little baby plants coming out of the planted seeds.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Weekly Check-In #15

weekly-review-15-2021

This week was packed with new adventures. I am grateful for getting better at taking small steps, one step at a time. This helps me to get my ideas and projects out of my head and, slowly, into the world.

What was I working on this week?

  • Working on my d-project.
  • Editing my videos from the previous weeks.
  • Doing the best I could at my side job.

What are 3 things that brought me joy and energy this week?

  • Getting my hair done and, actually, enjoying it a lot.
  • Going out for a walk (& drinking coffee) every morning.
  • Playing ping pong with a friend.

My 80/20 analysis:

  • Taking action by writing down my 2-3 most important tasks of the day.
  • Again, taking action by accomplishing small steps. I’m also trying to value my process.
  • Editing a video instead of going down the Youtube-watching-only-rabbit-hole.

What do I plan to tackle next week?

  • Focus on the process instead of expecting big, ego-driven and rather unrealistic results from myself.

Anything else?

  • I really enjoyed trying out different hairstyles for my wedding.
  • The planted seeds haven’t grown yet, but I’m curious whether some flowers or herbs will pop up soon.

See you all next week!

Weekly Check-In #14

weekly-review-14-2021

This week has just flown by, and I was able to manage my finances. This week’s highlight was that I had my first fitting for my wedding top. I’m really happy with the result and can’t wait to have my second fitting.

  • Editing my vlog on time.
  • Write my morning pages.

What are 3 things that brought me joy and energy this week?

  • Organizing my digital documents.
  • Observing chickens and other animals.

My 80/20 analysis:

  • Taking action by organizing my living environment.
  • Again, taking action by letting myself draw.
  • Manage my finances and having a better perspective.

What do I plan to tackle next week?

  • Focus on improving my self-esteem.

Anything else?

This week I’ve been pretty active. Despite all the restrictions we’re facing due to the pandemic, the nice weather motivated me to take longer walks and enjoy my coffee in the sun. This week’s highlight was that I got accepted for a (small) job. I’m really looking forward to start in less than three weeks.

What was I working on this week?

  • Taking small steps.
  • Taking photos for a project.
  • Write my morning pages.

What are 3 things that brought me joy and energy this week?

  • Going out and enjoying a sunset beside the river.
  • Plant flower seeds.
  • Taking a drawing class.

My 80/20 analysis:

  • Taking action by going out for a walk and shoot some photos for a project.
  • Again, taking action by letting myself draw.
  • Talking to family and friends.

What do I plan to tackle next week?

  • Focus on my finances.

Anything else?

  • I really enjoyed the meditation sessions from Tara Brach.
  • I can’t wait to see whether the planted seeds will grow.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading!

Weekly Check-In #12

header-weekly-review-12-21

This week has been full of ups and downs. Luckily, this week’s ups stick with me and I feel more confident about my future. We had great weather here in town and I enjoyed our walks in the sun a lot. Also, I really appreciate the encouragement and help I got from the people in my surrounding. Although it was not easy for me to accept help, I tried to push myself into allowing my-self to do so without feeling guilty afterwards.

What was I working on this week?

  • Getting a job.
  • Let myself publish this blog.
  • Eating healthy (or at least a bit healthier than in the previous weeks).

What are 3 things that brought me joy and energy this week?

  • Going out and having a coffee in the sun.
  • Grocery shopping! (My top 3: asparagus, mousse au chocolat and Bergkäse.)
  • Drawing.

My 80/20 analysis:

  • Taking action by making a (job related) phone call instead of passively waiting for some miracle.
  • Again, taking action by letting myself draw – even though it was a quite embarrassing drawing.
  • Writing my morning pages.

What do I plan to tackle next week?

  • Focus on taking small steps every day.

Anything else?

  • I prepared my Spotify playlist for the next trimester. (I change them every trimester, so this one is for April-May-June.)
  • I bought new make up and LOVE my new foundation.

That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading!
